Tips, Checklists & How-To's
Clutter-less Holidays

Aby Garvey
Simplify 101, Inc.
Are you and your family members buried in “stuff” at the end of the holidays? Do you always end up wondering where in the world it's all going to go? If so, this year try to cut the number of new things coming into your home. If friends or family ask for gift suggestions, have these ideas in your back pocket.
  • Spend half the budget on a small gift and spend the other half on a savings bond or investment in a company stock. Your kids may have fun watching the stock’s value (hopefully) go up! Teach your children about saving and avoid clutter!

  • Ask family members to go in on a bigger ticket item. One big, needed item means less clutter compared to many small toys or games.

  • Gift cards are also great! They avoid clutter by allowing the recipient to pick out something they really want, need, or will use!
